Frequently Asked Questions

What ingredients are used in keto biscuits?

Keto biscuits are typically made with almond flour or coconut flour, baking powder, eggs, butter or coconut oil, and sometimes cheese for added flavor. They avoid traditional wheat flour to keep the carb content low.

Can I substitute almond flour with coconut flour in the recipe?

Yes, you can substitute almond flour with coconut flour in keto biscuit recipes, but adjustments are necessary. Coconut flour is much more absorbent than almond flour, so youโ€™ll need to use less of itโ€”typically about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of coconut flour for every cup of almond flour. Additionally, youโ€™ll need to increase the amount of liquid and eggs to maintain the right consistency and moisture. Generally, for each cup of almond flour, you may need to add an extra egg and some additional liquid like water or milk. Experimentation is key to getting the perfect texture and taste.

How do I store keto biscuits?

Store your keto biscuits in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, you can refrigerate them for up to a week or freeze them for up to 3 months. Reheat them in the oven or microwave before serving.
