  •  1 tbsp avocado oil
  •  ¼ tsp baking powder
  •  pinch of salt

Gravy Ingredients

  •  4 oz breakfast sausage
  •  3 oz cream cheese, softened
  •  ⅓ cup half and half
  •  salt and pepper, to taste
  •  Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Using a fork, thoroughly combine all ingredients in a microwave-safe mug until the mixture is smooth. Using the back of a spoon, smooth out the top into an even surface.
  2. Microwave for one minute (based on your microwave, you may have to slightly alter the time and experiment with high versus medium-high temperatures).
  3. Using a potholder or thick cloth, remove the hot mug from the microwave. Cover with a plate and turn upside down, allowing the biscuit to slide out of the coffee cup. Slice into four even pieces and set aside.

Gravy Directions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, brown the sausage while breaking into smaller chunks with a spatula.
  2. Add the cream cheese and combine until blended.
  3. Add the half and half and stir until thoroughly incorporated.
  4. Let the gravy reduce over medium heat until you have reached a desired consistency, around 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and season with salt and pepper, to taste.
